ATI provides specialized therapy for patients with dizziness and imbalance; these services are known as vestibular rehabilitation.

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

BPPV is an inner ear disorder that causes a spinning or whirling sensation called vertigo. When the head is moved in certain positions vertigo can occur. BPPV is the cause of approximately 20% of all dizziness.

ATI has experienced professionals that specialize in vestibular rehabilitation. These professionals have a multitude of resources to examine patients. Resources include the Dix-Hallpike Test that determines the cause of vertigo based on the pattern of a patients eye moments and Frenzel Goggles that allow ATI therapists to carefully observe the eye for subtle signs of nystagmus, involuntary rhythmic shaking or wobbling eyes.
