As the saying goes, everything comes in threes, which was certainly the case for the ATI Foundation who recently hosted THREE presentations for THREE different recipients in THREE different states – in ONE day! Here’s the full recap of each beneficiary presentation:
Ohio Beneficiary – William
Our Ohio team members at ATI Physical Therapy hosted an adaptive bicycle presentation for us, in partnership with Preston’s March For Energy, last week. Seven-year-old William from Columbus, Ohio was not able to ride a bike due to a neuromuscular disorder, ataxia, hypotonia, autism, severe global delays, and dysphasia. Now, thanks to all of our generous supporters, HE CAN!
Tennessee Beneficiary – Anora
One of the three states we visited on Tuesday was Tennessee! Our team member, Sharon, traveled to Chattanooga to present four-year-old Anora and her family with a check that will help them complete projects that have been on hold due to financial restraints. Anora has a form of cerebral palsy, and her dad wanted to build a standing desk in her room, but couldn’t afford the lumber. In addition, they need a trailer hitch and cargo carrier ramp. Our gift will provide them the immediate opportunity to complete both of these projects that will improve Anora’s quality of life!
Illinois Beneficiary – Marshall
In Illinois, we met Marshall, who happens to be the adorable son of an ATI Physical Therapy team member – Dan, a physical therapist in the Newton, IL clinic. Marshall, one year old, from Greenup, IL, has spina bifida. Their home will need some major modifications to accommodate his mobility equipment as he grows older. This presentation was all part of the Newton team’s surprise when they nominated co-worker Dan’s son. They planned a “pie-in-the-face” fundraiser event, but Dan and his wife Sarah had no idea that the recipient for the presentation would be, in fact, their own family! (See the Facebook Live post for their reaction!)
