The ATI Foundation is gearing up for its biggest fundraiser of the year . . . all to help children with physical impairments. The Annual Cruisin-4-Kids Motorcycle Ride & Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, August 24 at Harrah’s Casino in Joliet. Riders will enjoy a scenic cruise with stops in Wilmington, Morris, Utica, Sheridan and Plainfield – – wrapping it up with a celebration at Joliet’s own Heroes West Sports Grill.
The fundraising highlight of this year’s event will be the Annual Harley Raffle – featuring a Limited Edition 110th Anniversary Harley Davidson Motorcycle and cash prizes. ATI Foundation volunteers, including ATI employees, patients, family members and friends, have been selling tickets for the big raffle since early June . . . and the sales are getting heated.
“ATI’s Waukesha South clinic staff has sold more than 150 raffle tickets and have challenged Illinois and other Wisconsin clinics to beat them,” said Terry Williams, Director of the ATI Foundation. “Additionally, many tickets were sold at our July 27th Cruisin-4-Kids event in Milwaukee, and at Marx Pioneer Inn in Muskego with the help of ATI volunteers. We will continue to sell more tickets on Saturday August 31 in Greenfield at the House of Harley’s 100th Anniversary Celebration.”
Tickets are only $10, and are available now through August 31 at any ATI Physical Therapy location (Must be 18 years of age to purchase a raffle ticket). Tickets will also be sold at the August 24 Cruisin-4-Kids event. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday, September 3 for the Limited Edition Harley, and cash prizes of $2,500 $1000 $500 and $100.
ATI Foundation Beneficiaries
In just the last four years, the Foundation has assisted more than 150 children with funding and resources to help them sustain a better quality of life . . . including children like five-year-old Erin Kane from Bourbonnais, IL.
“As parents, we strive to give our daughter everything we can for her to live a full life,” expressed Kim Kane, Erin’s mother. “The ATI Foundation gave of its time and resources to better the life of our daughter. They have restored hope at a time when all hope was lost.”
Recently, the Foundation partnered with another non-profit, The Mulliganeers, to purchase and install an Endless Pool to assist with her daily mobility and strength therapies. Erin suffers from severe cerebral palsy due to a series of strokes after shortly after birth.
