Every month has a story worth celebrating, but March in particular is a month that holds a special sentiment to us. Together with National Women’s Month, March symbolizes National Athletic Training Month. This year’s slogan, “ATs Are Health Care,” is meant to reflect on the core mission of the profession and to promote a healthy well-being in a supportive environment.
Here at ATI, we have more than 650 Athletic Trainers (AT) deployed across a range of settings, including professional organizations, colleges, club teams, high school athletics and industrial. Regardless of these focus areas, ATI AT’s all share one common trait — they are passionate and fully invested in their profession and the people they assist. Whether it be a basketball player with an ankle sprain or factory worker with lower back pain, the athletic trainer is the first line of defense in managing the injury and getting the athlete or worker the care that they need.

Athletic Trainers work long, often untraditional hours, and in a variety of weather conditions, to ensure proper care for their athletes, workers and personnel. Our AT’s work side-by-side with athletes, parents, coaches, industrial workers, doctors and physical therapists to provide unmatched levels of care and support. Through the guidance of an AT, you’ll enjoy personalized strength and conditioning programs, tips for proper nutrition, first aid, rehabilitation and emergency care. Many times, AT’s are in a unique position to not only treat the physical injuries, but also mentor athletes and workers.
Whether you’re an athlete or industrial worker, AT’s will help you through the rehabilitation process and get you back to your job or the sport you love. The comradery and collaboration between ATI’s Athletic Training team and the physical therapists in the clinics is what sets us apart as a leader in sports medicine services.
So, let’s give it up to athletic trainers all around and thank them for their pledges to safeguarding a healthy lifestyle for athletes and workers around. Happy National Athletic Training Month!
